1-2 June: Basics of Tactical Combat Casualty Care Course

Many of you have asked for it- We’ve added a Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3) Course to the schedule for 1-2 June! The two day course will be instructed by a currently serving Army Combat Medic and will provide the student with a basic, working understanding of TC3 in an austere environment:

  • How to approach casualties in a tactical environment
  • Tourniquet application
  • Wound packing
  • Pressure dressings
  • Chest seals and NPA’s.
  • How to pack a basic IFAK and scalable options for different environments.

This will culminate in a field exercise to show you how this all comes together to treat wounded on the battlefield. We will talk about gear selection and also cover the importance of higher levels of care and evacuation of a patient. You do not need to bring medical supplies, but if you have a pouch you want to test please bring it at your own risk. You will not walk out of this course a medic or EMT. But you will have the basic skills needed should the worst happen.

Course cost is $200 and will be conducted at the training site in NC. Contact me at brushbeater@tutanota.com for more details and while you’re at it, check out the calendar for the other classes on the schedule. There’s never a better time than now to get your personal skills dialed in.
